Services offered by Ferguson are built around customer business needs; mainly the need to have the right product at the right place at the right time to minimize downtime and costs. Our distribution network of over 1400 locations and eight strategically-placed national and regional distribution centers goes a long way to ensure timely delivery. Add to this the ability to order electronically, our national accounts program, customer inventory management program and product customization, and you have a product/service offering that is unparalleled in the industry.

Residential
We provide our building, remodeling and plumbing contracting customers with products and services for the entire residential spectrum – from custom luxury to competitive tract homes. Through over 300 Ferguson showrooms, we give our residential customers tools to help their clients make product selections by showcasing the widest variety possible. Our role is to serve as a liaison between contractor and end consumer by guiding homeowners through the selection process, while keeping in mind budgets and ease-of-installation. Products sold to this group are pipe, valves and fittings, finished plumbing, lighting, fireplaces, hardware and appliances.

Commercial/Industrial
Mechanical contractors, engineers, manufacturing plants and industrial sites depend on us for delivery of pipe, valves, fittings, fire protection and industrial specialty products. Ferguson also specializes in product services like end-finishing, fabrication or actuation, which is required to customize the products for special applications within universities, hospitals, schools, airports, office buildings, shopping malls, just to name a few.
Waterworks
This group of contractors, land developers and municipalities purchase large underground pipe, valves and fittings used for irrigation, sewage and water systems that make up the infrastructure of our neighborhoods, towns, cities and counties. This is a very technical area of our business due to complex application.
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning)
HVAC equipment, parts, installation supplies and accessories account for one of the fastest-growing business groups. Our customers in this group are builders, plumbers, mechanical contractors or contractors who specialize in heating and air conditioning. Applications for products sold range from residential (single and multi-family) projects to large and small commercial, industrial or institutional settings.

Specialty Businesses
Ferguson has established niche businesses that serve particular segments of our business that don’t fall into our normal categories. Our integrated operations manage the procurement of MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) products for manufacturing operations, leaving them free to focus on their core competency. The procurement of everything required to run a plant, from toilet paper and floor cleaner to lab instruments and office supplies, is left to a Ferguson staff usually on the premises. Our customers in this segment are primarily manufacturers in the aircraft, automotive, mineral refining, and locomotive and semi-conductor industries; however, the concept is filtering down to large customers that fall into other business groups.
