Ferguson and Stock Building Supply Partner with the National Association of Minority Contractors to Launch Whole House Solution®

NEWPORT NEWS, VA—Ferguson and Stock Building Supply have partnered with the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) to offer the Whole House Solution® – a first of its kind co-op buying program. The program provides NAMC members competitive pricing and access to a broad range of industry products, unparalleled service and an attractive incentive package.

“It is exciting to see Ferguson and Stock Building Supply leading the way on such a creative program,” said Owen Tonkins, executive director of NAMC, a nonprofit trade association that was established in 1969 to address the needs and concerns of minority contractors.  “This is truly a national model for other major corporations to follow.”

As a National Major Corporate sponsor, the companies will reinvest back into national and local NAMC chapters through a quarterly rebate program. “The program will allow NAMC national office and its chapters to develop an income stream to support our various program initiatives,” said Tonkins. NAMC will invest in continued business development and training and education for members, and scholarships to encourage gender and ethnic diversity in the market place.

“We recognize the construction industry is on the verge of a shift in regards to workforce and customer diversity,” said Cathy Williams, manager of Business Diversity for Ferguson. “Partnering with NAMC allows us to be at the forefront of serving customers and creating lasting business relationships in this very important emerging market.”

As industry leaders, Ferguson and Stock offer members “one-stop shopping,” providing a bundle of services to include logistics, prefab, installation services, construction loans, private label and branded products, framing, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, appliances, market research and much more.

“The competitive pricing offered through Whole House Solution® will allow NAMC members to be more competitive when bidding on various construction projects,” said Tonkins. “We are proud to partner with Ferguson and Stock Building Supply.”
