Ferguson to Open HVAC Main Branch in Columbia, SC; 5 More Stores Planned Throughout South Carolina
Network is part of plan to offer best-in-class performance to HVAC contractor community.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA—On April 1, Ferguson opened its first location in Columbia, South Carolina in what will be a stand-alone network of dedicated HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) stores throughout the state. Columbia will serve as the network’s main branch and is operating out of a temporary location on Old Dairy Road until a permanent facility can be completed.

The South Carolina network is part of a plan to offer best-in-class performance to the HVAC contractor community. Two additional hub facilities are planned for quick setup in the Greenville and Coastal areas, with satellite locations providing a total of six stores to service the entire territory. All locations will feature a 2,500 square-foot Pro Stock counter, 3,000 square-feet of office space, a training room and a dealer conversion “marketing center,” used for one-on-one meetings with each current and/or prospective dealer.

To coincide with the opening, Rheem Manufacturing Company granted Ferguson the heating and air conditioning distribution rights for the state of South Carolina. Rheem is a leading brand of heating and air conditioning equipment, known for quality, innovation and dependability.

In addition to Rheem heating and air conditioning equipment, Ferguson’s new HVAC distribution centers will offer a full line of HVAC supplies, parts, tools and accessories.

Jon Wallace, general manager, says Ferguson’s South Carolina HVAC network will reach out to local customers in each market to understand their specific needs. “We will hold local customer meetings in each market to understand the specific market needs and desires of our new customers. “We’re also planning a trip to Rheem’s headquarters and research and design facility in northwest Arkansas for new and prospective customers.”
